The dated narrative of the "Progress of the War" chapter (pp. 315-347) was transcribed separately and is not included; the statistical tables printed in that chapter (spoils, prisoners, warships lost) are. Advertisements, the contents and the Index were skipped, as were law and treaty texts. The Import Tariff List in the Appendix is given one table per page. The "Contemporary Worthies" Who's Who, the Imperial family and the steamship-company sketches are on the Who's Who & Directories page.
Note: In the early books added to this website, cells that are marked blank may be blank because the original was blank, or because the large language model extracting the table had difficulty in reading the cell. Read the transcription notes for each table and check the original source when in doubt.
