北支那方面軍占拠地域内治安概況
The layers here are traced from 付図第五 「北支那方面軍占拠地域内治安概況（昭和十七年九月中）」, an appendix to 防衛庁防衛研修所戦史室 編『北支の治安戦＜2＞』 (戦史叢書 第50巻, 東京: 朝雲新聞社, 1971).
The sheet divides the occupied north into pacified areas (治安地区), shown in blue, un-pacified areas (未治安地区), shown in red, and the semi-pacified areas (準治安地区) it leaves blank. Guerrilla attacks are sized by the strength reported for them, and the two damage layers mark reported damage to transportation routes (交通線匪害) and communication lines (通信線匪害). Settlements are labelled with the name each place went by in 1942 — click one for its modern name.
